Teeth whitening is also known as tooth bleaching. This is basically the process of making your teeth whiter by using special toothpastes or formulas. There are many ways that you can bleach your teeth. One way is to brush your teeth with toothpaste that is made of a special bleaching formula that can whiten your teeth once it is in contact with the enamel.
Why Bleach Your Teeth?
As we get older, our teeth usually will become discolored. The discoloration of teeth is caused by changes in the mineral structure of your teeth. What happens is that the enamel of your teeth becomes less porous. Also, teeth can be easily stained by different foods and most commonly by tobacco.
The most obvious reason to bleach your teeth is to have a whiter smile. Of course, this can only be achieved through tooth bleaching but this process does have its down side as well. Depending on the product you use, teeth bleaching can cause your teeth to become more sensitive because most bleaching products contain glycerin and peroxide.
These two elements can strip away the enamel of your teeth leaving you with teeth that can be more sensitive and actually cause pain when you drink or eat foods in extreme temperatures such as ice cream and coffee. But there are some products that do not use glycerin as its base and one of these products is the TheraBrite PLUS teeth whitening toothpaste. This basically means that you can bleach your teeth and clean them at the same time without worrying about stripping the protective enamel that keeps your teeth from becoming sensitive to extreme temperatures.
Why TheraBrite Toothpaste?
The TheraBrite PLUS teeth whitening toothpaste solution may contain glycerin but does not depend solely on it for the bleaching. However, unlike other teeth whitening toothpaste solutions, TheraBrite PLUS does not contain alcohol, saccharin, sodium lauryl sulfate, or benzalkonium chloride, which is an allergen.
This means that this is probably the safest product to use when you consider having whiter and cleaner teeth. It is not a harsh product to use and when coupled with the TheraBrite kits used for teeth bleaching, the teeth whitening toothpaste doubles that whitening and cleaning effect. If you follow a good whitening routine with these products, you can’t go wrong and you might not have to visit the dentist to spend all that money for bleaching ever again.
